Savory, garlicky, and cheesy — these steak pinwheels are easy to make and hard to forget. Perfect for dinners or impressive guests.
Ingredients
1.5–2 lb flank steak, butterflied
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper
Olive oil (for searing)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Butterfly and pound flank steak to ½-inch thick.
In a bowl, combine butter, garlic, Parmesan, herbs, salt, and pepper.
Spread filling over steak. Roll tightly and tie with butcher’s twine every 1.5 inches.
Slice into pinwheels. Sear both sides in hot skillet (2 minutes per side).
Transfer to oven and roast for 8–10 minutes. Let rest, then serve.
Notes
Add spinach or roasted peppers for variety.
Can be frozen raw or cooked and reheated later.
Slice against the grain after cooking for tenderness.
